Dr. Dimitri Vaughn II
Dr. Dimitri Vaughn II grew up in Syracuse, NY, graduating from Corcoran High School in 2003 and channeled his diverse experiences growing up in the Syracuse community to positive achievement in academia and industry, achieving a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY Albany, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University, and conducting postdoctoral studies in catalysis, electrochemistry and renewable energy at MIT. After completing these studies, Dimitri took his expertise in the technology and finance industries, working as a Senior Software Engineer at financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase and Capital One. Dimitri is excited to be a member of the board of the Harriet Tubman Liberation Foundation, as it is a great passion of his to inspire the next generation of youth to become successful achievers and leaders in the 21st-century workforce.
